  4.  Backup: Sets backup files (ending in ".bak") on or off.  Default is off.

  6.  Insert: Sets insert mode (on) or overwrite mode(off).  Default is off.
  7. Overwrite mode is slightly faster for input than insert mode.

  9.  Led: Sets power led on (sound is filtered) or off (sound is not
  10. filtered; percussive effects are more prominent).

  12.  Sure: Sets sure prompt (ie. the requester when Quit is selected) on
  13. or off.
  14.  
  15.  Check: Sets check before compiling on or off.  Warning: if there are mistakes
  16. in the manuscript, they will be ignored in compilation and the compiler will
  17. guess what you mean, it will not always be right of course!
